DAY-XVIII: Lucknow City Events

Lucknow, capital of Uttar Pradesh state is better known as 'City of Nawabs and Kababs'. This 13th century city of 'Abadh Region' is a multicultural city and is rich in Architecture.

'Asafi Imambara' or popularly known as 'Bada Imambara' was our first landmark location. Imambara menas 'Shrine' and this was built by Asaf-ud-daulah, Nawab of Lucknow in 1784. And it is the grandest building of Lucknow. According to legends, there are underground tunnels from here connected with Faizabad, Allahabad and even Delhi. They exist but have been sealed after a period of long disuse as well as fears over the disappearance of people who had purportedly gone missing, while exploring.
